Richard Beard is becoming a well known equestrian photographer in the Northwest. and  nationally. He has built his reputation mostly on the quality of his work and word of mouth. Mr. Beard prides himself on his dedication to horse and rider and his knowledge of composition, balance and color.  His work went under several years of scrutiny by instructors giving him a solid education before he ventured out to the professional arena. Last year alone he photographed 28 shows, which does not leave much down time between shows. However, he still manages to write an article or two, farm calls and also creates ads for magazines.
